Just a quick reminder that Friday 1st May is the deadline day for accepting accepting submissions for the 2020 festival and for applications for seed-funding.
Details of how to submit an event for entry into the festival and also how to apply for seed-funding can be found on the Organise an Event page. In the event that you miss the deadline please email firstname.lastname@example.org with details of your event and a late entry will be considered.
We are also announcing that we are going to try and run another Cover Art Competition in conjunction with Royston Schools. In the present circumstances our artist Stacey-Leigh Ross (By Leigh) has kindly agreed to work from digital images of artwork created by schoolchildren based on our festival theme.
This year’s theme is ‘A Question of Balance’ which was chosen partly as a play on the year 2020 and to highlight the importance of ‘well-being’ which can be achieved by correctly balancing the different priorities in our lives. We hope that it will provide some inspiration for the children’s artwork and allow a wide range of artistic interpretations.
Click on the Cover Art Competition poster on the left to view entry details and click HERE for a free online tool which can reduce image sizes to below 500kb. You can also see last year’s completed Cover Art on the left created by Stacey from the selected entries which was used on the front cover of the 2019 festival programme.
