If you are interested in art, or know the work of some of our talented local artists, you may want to have a look at Royston Arts Society’s (RAS) online Members Exhibition. Just click on the poster on the left  or HERE (to open a new window) to take you to the RAS website where the exhibition runs until the end of June. At least one of the artists will be donating all money from sales to the NHS for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Now the deadline for submissions has passed we can focus on our  Cover Art Competition which we are able to run with the help of Royston Schools and our artist Stacey-Leigh Ross (By Leigh) who has kindly agreed to work from digital images of artwork created by schoolchildren based on our festival theme.

This year’s theme is A Question of Balance’ which was chosen partly as a play on the year 2020 and to highlight the importance  of ‘well-being’ which can be achieved by correctly balancing  the different priorities in our lives. We hope that it will provide some inspiration for the children’s artwork and allow a wide range of artistic interpretations.

Click on the Cover Art Competition poster on the left to view entry details and click HERE for a free online tool which can reduce image sizes if required for email purposes. For inspiration you can perhaps look at last year’s completed Cover Art on the left which was created by Stacey from  the selected entries and used on the front cover of the 2019 festival programme.
