Art Exhibition – Influenced by Nature

Curwens Art Gallery will host an exhibition “Influenced by Nature”. Three local artists will be displaying and selling their work. Selena Bragg uses natural products for her pottery and jewellery. Christine Norman paints in watercolours, acrylic and mixed media. Maggie Allen paints in oils – usually abstract. Pop along to see us.

Royston Arts Society Autumn Exhibition

One of the biggest, most diverse art exhibitions in Royston’s creative calendar is back again. Come and see 400+ pieces by Royston Arts Society’s amateur and professional artists. Add to your collection of local artists’ works at very affordable prices. Play art critic and vote for your favourite painting in our section completely devoted to the Festival theme – ‘Changes’. Priory Quilters Exhibition

View a wide selection of quilts and textile items, including a display of ‘Mystery’ quilts completed over the last year, a raffle of patchwork bags and a sales table offering interesting items, ideal as gifts. Enjoy a cup of tea and cake and talk to our members about what we do.

The Royston Fringe Art Exhibition

FREE ENTRY – Catalogues 50p
Exhibition open to all. On display will be works of art in various media including paintings, photographs and models. The exhibition is open to anyone who would like to enter their own original artwork and see it displayed in the gallery. www.royston-methodist.org.uk

The Royston Fringe Art Competition

FREE ENTRY – Catalogues 50p
Entry to the competition is open to all children and students up to and including 17 year olds.  Age groups: under 8, 8-11 and 12-17
This year’s art competition is on the theme of “Changes”. All entries will be displayed and prizes will be awarded by Royston Mayor, Vera Swallow, on Sunday 24 at 4.45pm.

Entries to both the Royston Fringe Art Exhibition and Art Competition must be delivered to the Methodist Church on Friday 22nd September, between 8am and 10am, and collected from the hall on Sunday 24th September between 5pm and 6pm.

Middle Schools “Change” Art Exhibition

The “Change” exhibition is co-curated by Year 7 pupils from Roysia and Greneway Middle Schools, who work with the Museum as Young Curators to help install and promote the exhibition. The young artists have taken inspiration from several art styles which explore the theme of change. The finished artworks will reveal an insight into the very individual choices each young artist has made. www.roystonmuseum.org.uk

Royston Photographic Society Exhibition – Changes

Look at life through the lens and plan to visit this exhibition. There is something for everyone to enjoy from colourful landscapes to amazing wildlife and much more in between!
