Festival by Paul Vernon

In 2013 Royston Arts Festival ran with the theme ‘Small World’. As part of that we commissioned local film-maker Paul Vernon to capture a snapshot of the festival. He had free rein to do what he wanted. This is his own personal take on a very small part of that year’s festival. At the same time we ran a competition to find an original piece of music that Paul could cut the film round. The competition was judged by Paul Vernon, Stu Hanna (of the acclaimed folk duo Megson) and Rebecca Hughes (of Hertfordshire Music Service). A group of Meridian School music students were the unanimous winners. We hope you enjoy this small glimpse of a community coming together, celebrating creativity and generally enjoying itself.
