How we work…
We try to be an open organisation and encourage as many people to get involved as possible. We are not-for-profit and unincorporated but have a constitution, elected executive (chair, vice-chair, treasurer and secretary) and a management committee that meets monthly.
Throughout the year we have numerous informal meetings with contributing organisations which feed into our committee meetings which tend to be consensual but, where necessary, decisions are taken on a majority vote. Our constitution, policies and committee role descriptions etc .. can be found on the ‘Key Documents‘ page.
Membership is free and open to all residents of Royston and the surrounding villages and anyone else who accepts the aims and objectives of Creative Royston regardless of age, disability, gender, racial or ethnic origin, religious belief and sexual identity.
After every festival we run a formal feedback process which includes separate questionnaires for our volunteers, participants and festival-goers. This feeds directly into our Annual Report and forms the basis of our AGM, which takes place in January or February.
You can get involved in several ways by organising an event; performing; sponsoring an event, or other activity, or the festival, or Creative Royston more generally, or by becoming a festival volunteer. If you are interested in joining our committee please contact us.
