The Welcome To Royston event which we hosted together with Royston Town Council on Sunday 1st March was a great success with at least 750 visitors and 30 local activity groups taking part.
Creative Royston ran two competitions on the day the first to guess which years the festival photos on display came from. With hindsight this was perhaps a little difficult despite the clues offered by our volunteers on the stall. Seventeen people entered but only three got 1 out of 4 guesses correct and everyone else drew a complete blank and we don’t feel able to award any prizes when the guesses were so wildly inaccurate.
The kids drawing competition attracted fifteen entries and we picked out the following three as the best drawings of the Spiderman or Princess characters at the event taking age into account.
We will be in touch with the parents of Lara, Jessica and Cece in the next week or so with details of the prize that we will be awarding to each child.
