Do You Live In A Really Old Building?

Perhaps you know someone who does? As part of Royston Arts Festival this year we would like to celebrate the connections between Royston and King James I of England and VI of Scotland on the 400th anniversary of his death in 1625.

The 2025 festival theme ‘Then and Now‘ was chosen to allow us to embrace both the connection with King James, in particular, and other historical events, people or activities associated with Royston.

Creative Royston, possibly working together with Royston Museum, would like to create a trail around Royston as part of the 2025 festival involving buildings which have a connection to King James and perhaps other notable people or events in the history of the town. If you would like to help, either by putting forward your own house, or suggesting a building which might qualify then please complete this simple form on our website by clicking HERE.

… and don’t forget, we are still looking for more events and activities for this year’s arts festival. If you think you might like to get involved have a read of our information on how to Organise An Event
