Hi everyone! This is just to let you know that you have barely 2 days left in which to purchase advance tickets for our special one-off concert ‘Guitars & Strings’ at 7.30pm (Doors open 7.00pm) on Sunday 8th July The Old Bull Inn, Royston.
Music fans in Royston will have a rare opportunity to hear internationally acclaimed classical musicians perform contemporary songs arranged for violins, violas, cello and harps, reinforced by the ubiquitous guitar.
This eclectic concert will feature Jeremy Harmer and the Ad Hoc Strings performing the wonderful arrangements of Jeremy’s songs; Schrödinger’s Strings performing some of their own songs alongside sublime covers of everything from Pachelbel’s Canon in D to Guns N’ Roses (a rock band with harps, amazing!), and the wonderful songwriting and musical wizardry of Thursday’s Band prior to their appearance at Cambridge Folk Festival.
For more information on the artists click on the links attached to their names; have a look at the biographical piece provided by Jeremy, and at the website for Steve Bingham, leader of the Ad Hoc Strings. You can also click on the poster on the left to enlarge.
Tickets are an absolute bargain at £10 in advance (£12 on the door) and would be good value for a concert by any one of these 3 superb acts. Click on the icon below to buy tickets – whilst you can!
You can also buy advance tickets from The Stationery Cupboard until midday on Saturday and around 4pm at The Old Bull on the day of the concert.
